About the Pipitea HEC process

The Pipitea Human Ethics Committee (HEC) covers the faculties of Law and Commerce.

  • Applications to the Pipitea HEC are made online through Research Master, using your VUW username and password
  • applications need to be created, reviewed by the supervisor (if a student application), and with the peer reviewer no later than the first working day of each month (excluding January).

Applicants will receive HE Committee feedback, or approval on their application, usually by the 20th of the same month.

If you do not have access to Research Master, download the Access to ResearchMaster Form, complete the details and email it to ethicsadmin@vuw.ac.nz.
