Applications open for the third Bali Democracy Students Conference

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia is giving one New Zealand university student the opportunity to attend the third Bali Democracy Students Conference in December 2019.

The Bali Democracy Students Conference (BDSC) is an annual program initiated by the government of The Republic of Indonesia in 2017 as part of the Bali Democracy Forum. The aim of BDSC is to instill the value of democracy in attendees and to seek their views and insights. This year's conference will be held from 4–7 December 2019.

The Indonesian Embassy in New Zealand is offering one student the opportunity to attend the conference in Bali and will pay for their flights, accommodation and meals.

To be eligible to apply for this opportunity you must:

  • Be a current undergraduate of postgraduate student.
  • Be between the ages of 21-28 or be in your third year of undergraduate study.
  • Have never participated in the BDSC before.
  • Be active in student or social organisations
  • Be actively engaged in social media platforms.
  • Have a valid passport.

To apply you need to complete the application form (PDF, 0.6MB) and send it, along with your CV and a one page essay stating your motivation to participate in the programme, to Ms. Ari at yuni.ariastiti@kemlu.go.id and cc to pensosbud.wellington@kemlu.go.id no later than Friday 18 October 2019.
