I joined the counselling team at Victoria in 2003. I have over thirty years’ experience in the health sector, working as a nurse and then as a counsellor, and have spent several years working in the mental health field. Prior to working at Victoria, I worked for the Specialist Eating Disorders Service.
I have a keen interest in personal growth and development and cultural challenges and transitions, and feel privileged to listen to people’s stories as they grapple with the complexities of life. I believe in universal values, in the connectedness of all people, and that new understandings and growth are possible for us all.
I am a Registered Comprehensive Nurse, with Bachelor qualifications in Nursing and Counselling, and a Certificate in Clinical Supervision. I am a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors.
