Dr John Gregson

I am originally from England, of Irish whakapapa. I completed medical training in England and worked for five years in hospital medicine before my desire to work with people in a fuller way lead me to psychiatry.

I came to New Zealand in 1993, and did most of my psychiatry training in the Wellington Region. My specialty area is Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I also work for the Infant, Child, Adolescent and Family Service at Hutt Hospital.

I joined Victoria University in 2006, and work here two days a week. Before this, I worked as a part-time academic for the University of Otago in Wellington.

I offer advice to colleagues at Mauri Ora, as well as meeting with some students directly.
