The street parade is a highlight of our graduation celebrations and all graduands and graduates are encouraged to take part.
Tuesday 14 May, 12pm:
- Faculty of Architecture and Desgin
- Facult of Law
- Victoria Business School
Thursday 16 May, 12pm:
- Faculty of Education
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Health
- Faculty of Humanities and Social sciences
- Faculty of Science
The parade is for graduands and graduates only. While the southbound lane of the parade route will be closed, the northbound lane will remain open for traffic. The bus lane on Lambton Quay will be open to buses while the parade assembles and processes. For legal and safety reasons, family and friends must remain on the footpaths.
The parade will leave the Law School, Government Buildings, Lambton Quay at 12 noon. Please assemble at 11.45am behind your faculty sign, wearing your academic dress.
On arrival to Te Ngākau Civic Square there will be speeches to congratulate all graduands and graduates.
The decision to cancel the parade will be made by 10.30am, based on the information available to us at that time.
If the parade is cancelled, notices will be placed on the Victoria University Facebook page and on our website from 10.30am on the morning of the parade.
