VicMuslims Club—Muslim Students Association

We seek to make others more aware about Islam and Muslims, and ensure the needs of Muslim students are catered for.

VicMuslims Club acts as the representative body at Victoria University of Wellington to unify Muslims and engage in the remembrance of Allah the Almighty.

VicMuslims carries out a plethora of activities to interact, benefit and engage members, while also promoting awareness about Islam and Muslims alike. We’re here to ensure that all needs of our Muslim students at Victoria are being met. VicMuslims actively works alongside community and religious organisations, alongside fellow Muslim Student Associations around Aotearoa New Zealand in order to provide the best of events, services and representation to Muslim students.

By the grace of Allah, we have established prayer rooms at all three campuses at Victoria University of Wellington. These prayer rooms provide a purpose-built, accessible, and comfortable space for Muslim students and staff to gather to pray, meet, and hold activities. Access can only be granted to Victoria students and staff. Our prayer rooms are located at:

  • Kelburn campus—KK202A and KK201, Kirk Building
  • Te Aro Campus—Room VS 324, Vivian Street
  • Pipitea Campus—Room RH501, Rutherford House
