Amnesty at Vic

Amnesty on Campus meets to discuss human rights and do a range of activities, including fundraising events, activism and raising awareness.

We are students who:

• discuss human rights
• take action and campaign on human rights violations in New Zealand and around the world
• educate and raise awareness amongst our fellow students and the wider Wellington community
• encourage engagement with human rights issues of the above groups
• play our part in the global advancement of human rights.

Amnesty International is a global movement of over 3 million people in more than 150 countries and territories who campaign to end grave abuses of human rights.

Our vision is for every person to enjoy the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards. We are independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest, or religion.
