Discover research opportunities available at the Stout Research Centre.

The Stout Research Centre is an important bridge between the University and the community and plays a key role in supporting independent scholarship in New Zealand. The Centre hosts the John David Stout Research Fellow who is appointed annually to the prestigious John David Stout Fellowship. In 2015, the Centre also hosted the Stout Memorial Fellowship.

The Centre also offers non-stipendiary positions to independent visiting scholars from the community working on a wide variety of research topics.

From time to time the Centre also appoints scholars to the position of Adjunct Research Fellow.

Lydia Wevers Scholarship in NZ Studies

A gift to the Lydia Wevers Scholarship in New Zealand Studies will support high-quality academic learning and research into New Zealand society, history, and culture by means of scholarships for promising Masters thesis students.
