The Development of The University of Technology Sydney’s ‘UTS Startups Community’

Professor Margaret PettyMargaret is passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship and committed to designing, testing, and scaling new entrepreneurial programs and approaches. The ambition informing her work is the transformation of tertiary education and the creation of a new generation of entrepreneurial leaders, thinkers, and doers. She is currently the Executive Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Technology Sydney and a board member of StartupAUS and Cicada Innovations.

In this lunchtime seminar, Margaret will talk about her experiences promoting design and innovation in university environments in the US, New Zealand and Australia, and how UTS has become a leading centre for entrepreneurship and engagement with business, government and the wider community in the Asia Pacific region.
