The Chair in Digital Government concentrates on research into the introduction, management, and use of IT in the public sector and it's societal implications.

The Chair’s current research

Current research by the Chair in Digital Government includes:

  • successful projects in digital government
  • reconceptualising digital inclusion
  • understanding digital inclusion and exclusion among seniors
  • developing a maturity model for smart cities strategy.

The Chair’s teaching role

The Master of e-Government (MEGov) is unique in the Asia–Pacific region, and students will be taught by leading academics in the emerging field of e-Government and public management.

About the Chair’s sponsors

The Chair is jointly funded by Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, along with a number of government organisations. Our current programme partners are Department of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Education.
