Pacific Orientation Night 2019
Monday 25th Feb marked the start of Pasifika Orientation week 2019 (#PO19). SLC staff helps to meet and welcome the new pasifika students present.
The Pasifika Orientation 2019 Welcome Evening featured dynamic motivational speeches, soulful performances, delicious food, and opportunities to mix, mingle, and learn about university life. It also included an Expo where students could roam around, learning about different programs and services. Three of our Va’aomanū Pasifika lecturers--April Henderson, Niusila Fa’amanatu-Eteuati, and Emalani Case—participated in the event, greeting incoming students, catching-up with Pasifika colleagues, and enjoying the shared excitement and anticipation of the upcoming trimester.
We welcome all Pasifika students joining us this year and all returning students who are to continue their journey here at Victoria University of Wellington.
As the Pasifika theme for 2019 goes... LESSSGOOO!! Be VICTORIOUS! - 2019 is about going FORWARD, ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!!!
