The talk will present the core mission and purpose of the iSchool Movement International, how this has changed the curriculum, research, branding of our field, and what it means to information professionals and iField. It will present success stories of iSchools worldwide and the main factors of their outstanding achievements.

This is followed by an iSchool approach to data science (DS) capitalizing on the interdisciplinary methods already embedded in our curricula and facilitates opportunities for close-knit collaboration with other campus units. It will focus on what the important building blocks are in creating unique iSchool ‘Data Science’ curricular.
