The following School staff lead research projects within the Environmental Studies and Sustainability Research Group:

  • Dr Wojke Abrahamse - environmental psychology, human dimensions of environmental change, and engagement in environmentally friendly behaviours
  • Associate Prof Ralph Chapman - Climate change policy, environment, transport, energy, urban design, environmental health, and comparative environmental policy
  • Dr Rebecca Kiddle - Socio-cultural factors and space, educational space design, role of Māori identity in placemaking in Aotearoa, the transferability of urban design ideas cross-culturally, and built environment decision-making processes
