Research Interests

My research interests are in the nexus between socio-cultural factors and space. Specifically I am interested in:

  • the role of Māori identity in placemaking in Aotearoa;
  • the transferability of urban design ideas cross-culturally;
  • educational space design: i.e. the link between space and pedagogy;
  • young people’s involvement in built environment decision-making processes.
