Recurring events

The 'Earth Sciences' seminar series takes place from 4 to 5 pm on most Wednesdays.

The 'Geography, Environment and Development Studies' seminar series takes place from 4 to 5 pm on most Thursdays.

Both seminar series run in term time during Trimesters 1 and 2.

The 'Spatial Literacy User Group' (SLUG) is held on the first Thursday of every month in Cotton 304 from 12-1pm. SLUG is a space for networking, collaboration, and problem support for both frequent and infrequent users of spatial software in the School and wider University. We welcome attendance and contributions from users interested in GIS, spatial models, remote sensing, and other spatial approaches.

We also occasionally have seminars outside of these times—for example, PhD proposals/defence seminars or talks by speakers invited from outside the University. Such events will be advertised here or on the School’s noticeboard.
