The Māori and Pasifika support tutor

Sepelini Mua’au

Talofa Lava

My role consists of supporting all 100-level self-identifying Māori and Pasifika students enrolled in English, Film, Theatre and Media Studies courses.

I work closely with course-coordinators and tutors to ensure that students are given enough guidance to achieve and succeed here at the School of English, Film, Theatre and Media Studies. I can help students with the transition to University in a holistic sense, offering study sessions, keeping track of mandatory attendances and all assessments/tests/assignment hand ins.

The transition into tertiary level education can be a dramatic shift from high school; my focus is to encourage and assist students in reaching their full academic potential while having confidence in themselves and their studies.

I have a Master of Arts in Theatre and Bachelor of Arts (hons) in Theatre which allows me to bring a broader human perspective that informs my role as Māori and Pasifika Support Tutor. Please do not hesitate to contact me via email if you have any questions.
