There is a wide range of scholarships available for students at all stages of their undergraduate study.
School-leaver and first-year scholarships
If you're about to leave secondary school, or you're entering tertiary study for the first time, there are a number of scholarships available to help you get started at university. A scholarship could help fund your study, accommodation, or living costs—see the full range of school-leaver and first-year scholarships.
Featured school-leaver scholarships
The Victoria Tangiwai, Totoweka and Kahotea scholarships are awarded annually to school leavers.
The awards intend to support and encourage students who embody the key attributes of excellence, leadership and commitment to community.
Each scholarship is named after a different type of pounamu (greenstone), a taonga for Māori.
Applications for the Tangiwai, Totoweka and Kahotea scholarships are currently closed. They will open on 1 June 2019 for study in 2020.
Victoria Tangiwai Scholarship for Excellence
The Victoria Tangiwai Scholarship celebrates excellence—both academic and outside the classroom.
Victoria Totoweka Scholarship for Equity and Support
The Victoria Totoweka Scholarship supports academically strong students who are Māori or Pasifika, come from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds or refugee backgrounds or have a disability.
Victoria Kahotea Scholarship for Outstanding Achievements
The Victoria Kahotea Scholarship recognises exceptional students and is valued at up to $30,000 over three years of study at Victoria.
Returning undergraduate scholarships
We offer a range of awards for those returning to undergraduate study as a second-, third-, or fourth-year student. These scholarships are based on a variety of criteria including academic achievement and personal circumstances.
