Eligibility

In 2009 Senate Communications established this prize as part of its commitment to fostering excellenc ein communications.
Students are automatically eligible for the Senate Prize by completing the set assignment within the designated paper (MARK 301 Marketing Communications) as agreed with Victoria University.
Five assignments are selected by the lecturer against their own criteria and which also best match additional criteria provided by Senate, and these are forwarded to Senate Communications who then decide on the prize recipient.

Students are automatically eligible for the Senate Prize by completing the set assignment within the designated paper (MARK 301 Marketing Communications) as agreed with Victoria University.

The lecturer will assess the paper on their own set of criteria and select five assignments that best match additional criteria provided by Senate. The best 5 assignments are forwarded to Senate Communications.

Senate Communcations decides, on review of these assignments, who will be the prize recipient.

The value of the prize is up to $500 cash and the recipient will be invited to meet the Senate team in Auckland or Wellington to learn more about what it takes to wrok in a communicaitons consultancy.

Prize recipient obligations:
1. Prize recipients must be willing to agree to a copy of ther project being made publicly available by Senate (normally as a summary through the Senate website www.senatecommunications.co.nz).

2. Prize recipients are to agree to be part of a public statement at the time of the prize being awarded (management and communicaton profession, marketing communication and /or business media).
