These prizes, estabalished in 2002 via the Victoria University Foundation, are made possible by a trust fund established by Sir Roy McKenzie. Two prizes are available each year, one for a classical performance student and one for a jazz performance student. They are awarded on merit, based on the performance and potential of students and are made available to assist with study at either 300 on Honours level.

The winner is invited to give a short performance at one of the lunches of the Wellington Rotary Club.

4. Funding available may fluctuate with investment returns, but is likely to be $1,500.

5. Recipients will be asked to write a letter of appreciation which will be forwarded appropriately.
