This prize has been established via the Victoria University Foundation from a bequest that Dr Ross McQueen left to Victoria University of Wellington following his death in July 2004. It is awarded annually for the best thesis primarily on plants for BSc(Hons) or MSc in Ecology & Biodiversity or Conservation Biology at Victoria University.
The recipient is to present a seminor on their research to staff and students in their discipline.

This prize has been established via the Victoria University Foundation from a bequest that Dr Ross McQueen left to Victoria University of Wellington following his death in July 2004.

1. One prize shall be awarded annually for the best thesis primarily on plants for BSc(Hons) or MSc in Ecology & Biodiversity or Conservation Biology at Victoria University.

2. The prize will have a value of $500.

3. Selection will be made on the basis of the recommendation of the Dean of the Science Faculty (or a representative).

4. The successful candidate will be selected on the basis of the quality of their thesis research and their participation in the academic life of the School.

5. The Victoria University Foundation will expect recipients to present a seminar on their research to staff and students in their discipline.

6. Recipients will be asked to write a letter of appreciation which will be forwarded appropriately.
