This prize will be awarded to the student with the highest overall mark in ESOL 801 & 802 combined each year.

Having completed the GradCertTESOL personally, the donor understands how much commitment and hard work is involved, and wishes to recognise this.
Purpose of award
To give a small financial reward to the top student each year in recognition of their efforts.

Tenure of award
Head of School, Linguistics and Applied Language Studies, in consultation with the GradCertTESOL Coordinator and teaching staff.
How and when do students learn of the decision?
The students will be advised by The Scholarships Office if they are chosen to receive this prize.
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
Students are asked to write a thank you letter to the donor, to express their appreciation.
