This prize was established in 1996 to commemorate the work of Dr John Robson, founding Director of the Institute of Criminology, and to encourage excellence in the postgraduate study of Criminology. It is awarded to the best student completing an Honours degree in Criminology.

This prize was established in 1996 to commemorate the work of Dr John Robson, founding Director of the Institute of Criminology, and to encourage excellence in the postgraduate study of Criminology.

1. There shall be one prize known as the John Robson Prize.

2. This prize shall be offered annually, as judged by the Director, Institute of Criminology, to the best student worthy of the award who is completing an Honours degree in Criminology.

3. The value of the prize shall be $100.

4. No student shall be awarded the Prize a second time.

5. The Director, Institute of Criminology, shall reserve the right not to offer the prize in any given year.
