This prize - in memory of Alan D Robinson, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Reader in Political Science 1961-76 - arises from a fund subscribed by students, staff and friends. It is awarded to the best student completing an Honours degree in Political Science or International Relations.

This prize - in memory of Alan D Robinson, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Reader in Political Science 1961-76 - arises from a fund subscribed by students, staff and friends.

1. It shall be awarded annually to the student who completes an Honours degree in Political Science or International Relations and who, in the opinion of the Head of the School of History, Philosophy, Political Science and International Relations, is the best student of the year.

2. The prize shall be awarded on the recommendation of the Head of the School of History, Philosophy, Political Science and International Relations, in consultation with the academic staff and Head of Programme in Political Science and International Relations.

3. The value of the prize, in any year, shall be determined after consideration of the income from the fund.

4. If in any year the income from the fund or any part thereof is not expended, it may be added to the fund.

5. The name of the student awarded this prize shall be inscribed on the Honours Board at the premises of the Political Science and International Relations programme.
