Eligibility

This prize is awarded to a student enrolled in 200 level POLS or INTP courses and who is intending to major in Political Science or International Relations.

Information

This scholarship was established in 1980 by the former Prime Minister of New Zealand, the Rt. Hon. Sir John Marshall, GBE, CH, BA, LLM, Hon. LLD, to encourage the study of Political Science at Victoria University of Wellington. The award is now extended to include International Relations.

The scholarship is awarded to the student who completed 100 level work in the year preceeding the award and is, in the opinion of the of the Head of the School of History, Philosophy, Political Science and International Relations, the best student eligible for the scholarship in the year of the award.

The recipient must be enrolled at 200 level POLS or INTP before the award can be paid.

The name of the recipient will be inscribed on the Honours Board at the premises of the Political Science and International Relations Programme.

The recipient will be asked to write a letter of appreciation donor, which will be forwarded appropriately.
