This prize arises from a fund donated in 1985 and is for the best student of the year completing a Bachelor's degree with a major in Linguistics.
This prize arises from a fund donated in 1985.
1. The prize shall be known as the Linguistics Prize.
2. The prize shall be awarded annually by the Academic Board to the student completing a Bachelor's degree with a major in Linguistics who, in the opinion of the Head of the School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies, is the best student of the year and worthy of the award.
3. The value of the prize shall be determined by the Academic Board after consideration of the income from the fund and shall be payable in cash.
4. Any income not expended shall be added to the fund.
