This prize is provided annually by the Library and Information Association of New Zealand Aotearoa (LIANZA) in memory of the former University Librarian David Wylie (1925-85), and in recognition of his long concern with education for Librarianship. It is awarded to the student completing the best piece of written work on an aspect of Library and Information Studies.

Information

This prize is provided annually by the Library and Information Association of New Zealand Aotearoa in memory of the former University Librarian David Wylie (1925-85), and in recognition of his long concern with education for Librarianship.

1. The prize shall be known as the Library and Information Association of New Zealand Aotearoa David Wylie Prize.

2. The prize shall be awarded by the Academic Board, on the recommendation of the Director of the Master's of Library and Information Studies and the University Librarian, to the student of the Library and Information Studies, School of Information Management, who is judged to have completed the best piece of written work on an aspect of library and information studies, and to be worthy of the award.

3. The prize shall be of the value of two hundred and fifty dollars or such other sum as the Library and Information Association of New Zealand Aotearoa shall decide.

4. Part of the prize money shall be spent on a book, or books.
