This orize is provided from a fund subscribed by friends of the Victoria University of Wellington to commemorate the work of Sir Thomas Hunter, Principal Emeritus, and for over forty years Professor of Mental and Moral Philosophy. It is awarded to the best student in Psychology at 100-level.

Information

This prize is provided from a fund subscribed by friends of the Victoria University of Wellington to commemorate the work of Sir Thomas Hunter, Principal Emeritus, and for over forty years Professor of Mental and Moral Philosophy.

1. The prize shall be open to any student attending during year one or more of the courses at 100 level in the Department of Psychology.

2. The prize shall be offered annually and shall be awarded to the student judged by the Chairperson of the Department of Psychology to be the best student worthy of the prize in the year of award.

3. The value of a prize in any year shall be determined by the Academic Board after consideration of the income from the fund and the number of prize winners.

4. Part of the prize money shall be spent on a book, or books.

5. If in any year the whole of the income from the fund is not expended the balance may be used in a subsequent year or, if the Academic Board so decides, may be added to the capital fund.
