Eligibility

These prizes, established in 1998, are provided annually by the Delegation of the European Commission to Australia and New Zealand.
They are awarded to undergraduate or postgraduate students judged to be most worthy of the award, who, in the year of the award, have completed an essay or thesis on an aspect of the European Union.

Information

These prizes, established in 1998, are provided annually by the Delegation of the European Commission to Australia and New Zealand.

1. The prizes shall be known as the European Union Prizes.

2. The prizes shall be awarded annually to the undergraduate or postgraduate student judged to be most worthy of the award who, in the year of the award, has completed an essay or a thesis on an aspect of the European Union.

3. The prizes shall be awarded on the recommendation of the Head of the School of History, Philosophy, Political Science and International Relations in consultation with the academic staff and Head of Programme in Political Science and International Relations.

4. The prizes shall be a $250 book voucher for first prize, $150 book voucher for second prize and $100 book voucher for third prize.

5. The names of the students awarded these prizes shall be inscribed on the Honours Board at the premises of the Political Science and International Relations programme.
