This prize is awarded to the best Physics major at 100-level.

Information

This prize was established in 1923 in memory of Bruce Dall. It arose from a gift of $100 by his friends. The prize fund was later increased by further donations.

The prize is awarded annually to the best physics major attending a 100-level Physics class. The recipient will be nominated by the Head of the School of Chemical and Physical Sciences.

The value of the prize is determined after consideration of the income from the fund. The balance of income not expended shall be added to the fund.

The donor requests the recipient use part of the award to purchase a book or books.

The recipient will be asked to write a letter of appreciation which will be forwarded appropriately.
