This prize arises from a fund established as part of a gift to the University by the Nakashimato Company and the Q P Corporation of Japan in 1991.
It is awarded to the best student at graduate level in Applied Linguistics.

Information

This prize arises from a fund established as part of a gift to the University by the Nakashimato Company and the Q P Corporation of Japan in 1991.
1. The prize shall be known as the Applied Linguistics Prize.
2. The prize shall be awarded annually by the Academic Board on the recommendation of the Head of the School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies to the student who has completed the best year's work at the graduate level in applied linguistics.
3. The prize shall be used to purchase a book, or books.
4. The value of the prize shall be determined by the Academic Board after consideration of the income from the fund. Any income not expended shall be added to the fund.
