The prize recognises the student with the overall best results in the 200 level ESCI Geology courses and who is judged most likely to continue to achieve excellent results in undergraduate study.

The successful recipient will be selected by the Programme Director of the Geology Board of Studies (or nominee) with the advice of the relevant course coordinators. The prize will be signed off by the Head of School of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences.

No award shall be made in any year in which Head of the School of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences, considers there is no candidate of sufficient merit.

Recipients will be asked to write a letter of thanks, which will be forwarded appropriately.
