It is awarded annually to the student who has achieved excellent results in 300 level physical geography courses and who is judged most likely to continue to achieve excellent results in postgraduate study.

The prize is awarded on the recommendation of the Head of the School of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences, in consultation with the relevant programme director and course coordinators.

The prize may be held in conjunction with other awards.

No award shall be made in any year in which the Head of the School of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences, considers there is no candidate of sufficient merit.

The recipient will be asked to write a letter of appreciation, which will be forwarded appropriately.
