Research

My research is focused on the climate crisis, particularly 'climate justice' and 'just transition' responses to this crisis. I am interested in the meeting of climate justice and economic justice and how these manifest both in policy and in climate movement and union movement activism. In previous work, I have explored communication practices in the New Zealand climate movement, including consideration of the role of emotion in climate movement mobilisation. In addition, I have undertaken research with the Tertiary Education Union on tertiary education sector reform and have taken part in research projects on wellbeing and on medium density housing.
