Frontiers, Opportunities & Challenges: Teaching Law to non-Law Students

We invite you to an upcoming Law Teaching Roundtable, which will focus on the frontiers, opportunities and challenges of teaching law to non-law students.

Monday, 11 June 2018 from 9.30am to 5.00pm

The Roundtable will bring together teachers within a highly collegial atmosphere. This will be an opportunity for established and early career teachers to discuss teaching, exchange ideas and share best practices. We invite presentations spanning a broad range of topics, for example: Course Design and Learning Outcomes; Assessment; Innovative approaches; Technology and Teaching; Research supervision outside of a law school; the impact of Accreditation; Business and Human Rights (PRiME); Career paths for students; Career challenges for law teachers of non-law students.

Due to the generous support and sponsorship from the Australasian Law Teachers Association and the School of Accounting and Commercial Law, there will be no registration fee. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. For those wishing to stay overnight there will be a ‘pay your own way’ dinner organised on Monday evening.

Submissions

We invite abstract submissions (up to 300 words) and panel proposals. To submit an abstract or propose a panel, please contact Susan Corbett.
