About the Conference

The School of Accounting and Commercial Law at Victoria University of Wellington would like to invite you to the Thirteenth New Zealand Management Accounting (NZMA) Conference to be held on Thursday, 21 November, and Friday, 22 November 2019, in Wellington, New Zealand.

The NZMA conference aims to bring together management accounting educators, researchers and practitioners from the public and private sectors to share their perspectives and experiences of the many theoretical and practical applications in this very important discipline area. The format of the NZMA conference will include plenary presentations and concurrent paper presentations.

Papers are invited on a wide range of management accounting issues, including: performance measurement, behavioural issues, cost management systems, accounting education, history,  sustainability, ethical issues, and in any other general area related to management accounting praxis. A key objective of the conference is to encourage knowledge transfer among academics and between academia and practitioners. Therefore, we encourage papers from practitioners that involve collaborative research as well as studies of management accounting in practice (cases or surveys).

The format of the NZMA conference will include plenary presentations and concurrent paper presentations.
