Astonishing French cellist Séverine Ballon is one of the leading proponents of contemporary repertoire for her instrument. Having worked closely with composers such as Helmut Lachenmann, Chaya Czernowin, Rebecca Saunders, and Liza Lim, Séverine brings her skills and techniques to the New Zealand School of Music in this concert featuring the premiere of a new work by lecturer Michael Norris.
