A return of the extremely popular China Crossing concert held in 2017, this year’s event will see musicians from Hangzhou, China perform contemporary and traditional music alongside students from the New Zealand School of Music and guest Alistair Fraser.

Gabriela Glapska (PhD student at NZSM) will join Shen Yujing to perform the NZ premiere of Flowers Joyful Falling of West Lake by Shen Nalin, a duet for piano and sheng.

Student composers from the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music will also have their works performed by students from the New Zealand School of Music.

Audience members are invited to stay on for refreshments and a chance to talk to the musicians after the concert - we hope you can join us.
