The scholarships enable students to undertake a range of activities, such as a period studying at an overseas institution, a language programme, internship or a combination of these activities.

The Prime Minister’s Scholarships are intended to strengthen New Zealand’s ability to engage with key Asian and Latin American trading partners, build relationships and provide students an opportunity to further their understanding of other cultures.
