"Choosing to attend Victoria University of Wellington was easy, but deciding what to study was tough."
With so many subjects and degree pathways on offer at Victoria, Chapman decided the Tohu Māoritanga Diploma was an ideal first step to discover in which direction he wanted to head.
The Tohu programme provided Chapman with a supportive whānau learning environment where he felt comfortable and at ease, while getting to grips with university life.
Chapman says having completed his first university qualification is awesome, and it has given him a solid transition from school to university and the confidence to further his study.
Chapman is now enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Te Reo Māori and Criminology.
