VicTeach Hubs

VicTeach hubs are proposed by community members to allow focussed discussion on specific topics of interest. These topics cover a wide range of areas and disciplines and have relevance to both academic and professional staff. Hub groups organise meetings and gatherings to dive deeper into the chosen topic, discussing research evidence, potential actions, collaborative opportunities, and sharing good practices.

VicTeach hubs are created and run as there is community interest and need. Previous hubs have included: The First Year Experience Hub, the Decolonisation Hub, Graduate Attributes Hub, and the Sustainability Hub. These hubs aren’t currently regularly meeting but may resume in the future. For example, the current Work Integrated and Career Learning Hub revived and extended on an earlier Civic Engagement/Internship Hub.

Staff members are welcome to join both active Hub groups. If you would like to run a new hub or re-start a hibernating hub, please contact VicTeach@vuw.ac.nz
