Study Abroad for one or two trimesters in the political, cultural and creative capital of one of the most beautiful countries in the world—New Zealand.
Spend one or two trimesters in New Zealand and get credit towards your home degree.
- Choose courses from Victoria’s broad range of subjects that will complement your studies at home.
- You must study full time—at least 45 points per trimester.
As well as a quality academic programme, you'll experience all that New Zealand has to offer.
Wellington is located in the centre of New Zealand and is a perfect stepping stone for both the North and South Islands—you’ll find New Zealand is small enough to see in one trimester, but diverse enough to offer constant surprises.
As a minimum you need to have completed at least one year of Bachelor's degree at a university outside of New Zealand, and meet the academic and English language requirements for your country.
When it starts
The Study Abroad programme is open during Trimester 1 (late February – June) and Trimester 2 (July – November). You can begin your Study Abroad in either Trimester 1 or Trimester 2. You can stay for one or both of these Trimesters.
Trimester 3 (November – January) is not offered for Study Abroad due to limited course offerings.
What it costs
These costs are quoted and apply to studying in 2018.
You’ll also need medical and travel insurance for the duration of your time in New Zealand—check with your home university.
We strongly recommend you discuss your study plan with your academic adviser at your home university before applying to Victoria University of Wellington.
