Join Phil Pithyou, Sergeant and Ethnic Liaison Coordinator at the Wellington Police, for a fun session about the role of the police in New Zealand and how they can help you.

9.45am - 10.15am

Enjoy a snack and drink and have the opportunity to meet staff from services at the University.

10.15am - 10.45am

Break into your faculty groups and take part in activities to get to know fellow students.

Get advice to help choose your courses (if you haven't already).

Sign in for day two of your orientation programme and have your passport and visa photocopied.

Meet with Student Learning to find out about the New Zealand academic system and the many resources they have for ongoing study support. Learn about myTools, Blackboard, and your course outline. Vic Crew will be on hand to help you work out your timetable.

Enjoy a snack and drink and have the opportunity to mingle with other new students.

10.45am - 11.15am

Join us for a traditional Maori pohiri at the Te Herenga Waka Marae. Meet in KKLT301 at 1 pm for a briefing before we walk to the marae where you will be welcomed by staff of the University. The pohiri will end with a talk about the marae and afternoon tea at 3.00pm.
