Choosing your courses
You must enrol in three or four courses (45 to 80 points) each trimester to be a full-time student and meet the requirements of your student visa.
Each degree or programme has some courses that you have to take, called required courses. You must enrol in these courses. Many programmes also have elective courses—you can enrol in the elective courses that most interest you or suit your career goals.
- check the lecture times to make sure that you have no timetable clashes
- check you have chosen three or four courses that total 45 to 80 points per trimester.

First-year students, you can use our quick reference course list to check which courses are required or recommended by your faculty for the first year of your degree and major(s). At the top of this list, you’ll need to select your faculty, then select your degree and major from the faculty table to locate the courses you must enrol in.
Students who are enrolling in the Master of Professional Business Analysis (MBusAn) must enrol in the courses listed in our Master’s programme required courses guide.
International Programme students
You must enrol in the courses that Victoria International confirms with you via email. There may also be some elective course options you can choose from.
Study Abroad and exchange students
You must enrol in the pre-approved courses that Victoria International confirms with you via email. Entry into other courses cannot be guaranteed.
