HE REO—VOICE

Call for Papers

Voices of people from history around our world are brought to light in diverse ways. This year, the annual New Historians conference asks whose voices are heard in our historical pursuits and what ways do we listen to, interpret and represent history?

The History Postgraduates at Victoria University invite submissions with the theme of voice in mind, welcoming interdisciplinary contributions.

Please email abstract submissions (200 words) to newhistorians@vuw.ac.nz.

Abstracts are due - 30 April 2019.

The New Historians Conference is run by Victoria University of Wellington Masters students, and is a great chance for postgraduate students (at MA and PhD level) to present their work and hear some exciting new ideas from a community of their fellow historians.

Our theme this year is 'He Reo/Voice', and it explores the idea that voices of people from history and around our world are brought to light in diverse ways.

Registration is $20 (cash only) to be paid on the day.
