Description

While such actions seem to fit uneasily with a Marxist critique of political economy, Clover draws on the theoretical work undertaken in his influential book Riot.Strike.Riot as a way to approach such struggles. Encampments, Joshua Clover will argue, intersect with the riot and commune as contemporary sites of resistance. In considering such sites, Clover, in discussion with Bradford, Hartendorp, and Abu-Shanab, asks what it means to fight back today, and what constitutes effective collective action.
