Description

A well-designed tax system is a powerful tool to protect our environment and support our people. New Zealand’s current system is not getting us there. Kiwis experience high economic inequality and it is harming our well-being. We need to repair our public services and our welfare system and change our economy so that it runs fairer, cleaner and greener. A better tax system can help.

But to get the most from tax, we need to talk about it. In the second of our Tax on Tuesdays events, Russell Norman, Richard Wagstaff and Catherine Leining discuss how taxes can help us shift towards a carbon-neutral economy where our people and our planet flourish.
