Description

Both Australia and New Zealand face truly historic challenges to the way they each approach their security as Asia's strategic order is transformed by major-power rivalries. The two countries confront these challenges from rather different starting points, but also with much in common. In this talk Hugh White will draw on his recent book How to defend Australia to explore Australia's approach to the new strategic environment, and to offer some thoughts about New Zealand's options and choices.
