Description

However, widespread advocacy for experiential learning has lacked attention to considerations by which instructors may utilize experiential methods effectively and ethically. In this talk, KLD will share research about the ethics of experiential teaching and learning in business education. The discussion includes constructs such as deception, risk, competence, and trust that combine as key ethical aspects of facilitating emotionally charged in-class activities. From a practical perspective, participants will engage with a model that maps representative experiential activities onto four differing levels of student risk, instructor training, skill and relational trust for consideration when creating their own experiential activities.
