Description

Students are invited to a forum hosted by Vice-Chancellor Professor Grant Guilford to discuss the University Council’s draft decision to recommend that the Minister of Education approve University of Wellington as the new legal name for the University, and adopt a new Māori name of Te Herenga Waka.

After a short presentation, Professor Guilford will open the floor for questions and discussion.

The period for providing feedback on the draft decision to simplify the University’s name to ‘University of Wellington’ has been extended by two weeks, to Monday 27 August. More information about the proposed change, and information about how to provide further and final feedback, is available here: www.victoria.ac.nz/name
