Description
Comics are a language made of images and words - a language with many dialects, idioms, and individual voices. In this colourfully illustrated lecture, local cartoonist and 2018 Victoria University Creative New Zealand Writer in Residence Dylan Horrocks will share the work of some of his favourites and dig deep into the rich and complex visual poetry of comics: from the intimate physicality of drawings to the mysterious magic of a story heard through the eyes. A visual spectacle awaits every reader! Examples will be shown.
